For our recently completed project, the Snowden River Water Tank in Columbia, MD, the Howard county owner wanted to specify Water Jet Removal Surface Preparation on all of the existing coatings system due to the sensitive environmental concerns in a highly populated area, which included a new car dealership and office building parking lot. In this area of the country this project would require a low temperature cure coating system to compliment the water jetting surface preparation.


Water Tank

The project, performed by Alpha Painting of Baltimore, MD, with our Indulon 235 Primers applied over a Water Jetted Surface preparation, was completed in December of 2003. Once the Indulon 235 epoxy coating had cured properly, one coat of our Indurathane 890 Acrylic Urethane Light Blue was applied to this two million gallon Elevated Water Tank Structure that will provide many years of outstanding corrosion protection and intercoat adhesion to this critical government owned and operated Howard County, MD infrastructure.
